Premier develops an in house training and testing program to reduce their client's recruitment and overtime costs while increasing productivity.

A Global Investment Bank was experiencing a challenge in identifying candidates for key positions in their presentation services division. This area was responsible for the creation of complex and confidential presentations for mergers and acquisitions, in a 24 hour 7 day a week environment. The ideal candidates needed client specific skills that simply did not exist in the labor pool. To recruit from competitors was not an option due to the confidential nature of the work to be performed.

In response to this very challenging staffing situation, Premier developed a proprietary in house training and testing program built around the specific client needs. The ideal candidate for the program was one with strong business skills and a high aptitude for technical skills. The program was a 6-8 week training session with intermittent evaluations to continually qualify the candidates. This was a no cost training program for both the client and the contingent employee. The contingent employee had committed to a year contract prior to completing the training. The content of the training program was developed by Premier after exhaustive interviews with the client managers to clearly outline the expectations of the client and ensure that the curriculum meet the client needs.

This program was successful in reducing recruitment costs, overtime costs; and dramatically increasing turnaround times for the presentation centers. Our contractors were staffed on a 3 shift schedule, thus virtually eliminating overtime costs. Due to the 1-year contract commitment by the contractors, attrition was greatly reduced and productivity greatly increased. There was no longer a need for the clients to spend countless hours on their own in house training programs. The contractors hit the ground running.
